Citrullus lanatus seed oil, also known as Kalahari melon seed oil, is pressed from melon seeds. It is naturally rich in unsaturated fatty acids, particularly linoleic acid, and contains tocopherols.
Its main cosmetic function is as an emollient. It softens and conditions the skin and has a light texture that makes it useful in facial oils, serums and cleansing oils where a less greasy finish is preferred.
